Steps to Download the MDM Config from the Cloud Services Portal

The pp config file is required to update application configuration in MDM. To download the config file, do the following:

  1. Log into csp.infoblox.com
  2. Navigate to Manage > Endpoints > Endpoint Groups.
  3. Select Download MDM Configuration and click  iOS Config File or Android Config File (Image 1).
  4. Save the config file.

Alternatively if the endpoint needs to go to any particular endpoint group, download the config file from Manage > Endpoints > Endpoint Groups. Click of the desired endpoint group followed by selecting Download MDM Configuration > Android/iOS Config File (Image 2). Download the file to your computer or to other easily accessible location.

The App config file  contains below parameters:

  • customerId: This is the value  in the xml file.
  • groupName: Speciies the group name in te Cloud Services Portal of the endpoint to be moved. Note: If the group name is not present in theCloud Services Portal, It will be added to the All BloxOne Endpoints group.
  • userId: The unique name identifying the mobile device. The configured name will be displayed on the Endpoints page (Manage >Endpoints).
  • allowServiceControl: By default, this value will be True. Change this value to False by toggling the switch  in the BloxOne app to be hidden .

Steps to Register Mobile Endpoint to VMWare Workspace One Server

Perform the following steps to register BLoxOne Mobile Endpoint with VM Workspace One server"

  • Install the Intelligent Hub app from Google Play store or the Apple app store, depending on the device.
  • Login to the Intelligent Hub with the credentials provided by your admin.
  • Follow the steps as instructed and register the device register your devicewith the Workspace One server.

Steps to Install the BloxOne App in Workspace One Server

To install the BloxOne app on an iOS device, do the following:

  1. Login to the workspace one UEM console
  2. Navigate to Apps & Books > Applications > Native > Public.
  3. Click +Add Application (Image 3).

4. For platfrom, select iOS.
5. Search BloxOne EP and click Next (Image 4).

6. Once BloxOne EP app is listed, click  Select (Image 6).

7. Click Save and Assign.
8.The app assignment window will open.
9. Provide the following details: Assignment Name, Assignment Groups, etc. and select App Delivery Method as per requirements (Image 6).

Image 10. Navigate to the Application configuration tab and toggle the send configuration button to the ON position (Image 7).

10. Upload the previously downloaded configuration file obtained from the Cloud Services Portal.

Click  upload xml and select the file (Image 8).

12. The app config will be similar to what is displayed in Image 9. Note: The userId and groupName can be modified:

13. Click Create.

Click Save (Image 10).

The  assignment will be pushed to the device. If it is not pushed in the same screen, then it can be pushed from Devices > (select the device) > click on install (Image 12).

Endpoint will be automatically installed on the client devices. It may take  a few minutes for the installation to complete. 

16. Now open the BloxOne EP app on the iOS device and accept the VPN acknowledgement. After few seconds app will be in protected state (Image 13.).

Installing the BloxOne App on an Android Device

To install BloxOne EP on an Android device, do the following: 

  1. Login to the workspace one UEM console.
  2. Navigate to Apps & Books > Applications > Native > Public.
  3. Click +Add Application (Image 14).

4. Select platform as Android.

Search for BloxOne EP and click Next (Image 15).

6. Click Approve followed by Select (Image 16).

7. Click Save followed by Assign.

pp assignment window will open.

Provide details like Assignment Name, Assignment Groups, etc.
10. Select 
App Delivery Method as per requirements (Image 17).

11. Navigate to Application Configuration tab and toggle the Send Configuration switch to the ON position (Image 18).

The display will show the required config parameters for the app (Image 19).

12. Provide the config data from the downloaded config file which was previously downloaded from the Cloud Services Portal in the provided information fields (Image 20)

Click Save (Image 21).

The assignment will be pushed to the device. If it is not pushed in the same screen, then it can be pushed from Devices > (select the device) > Click on Install (Image 23).

Endpoint will be automatically installed on the client devices. It may takeseveral minutes for the installation to complete (Image 23). 

16. Open the BloxOne EP app which will be at the work profile on the Android device and accept the VPN acknowledgement. After few seconds the app will be in a protected state (image 24).
